Butchers since 1876

A Legacy Born in Oxford, England

The Timbs butchery story began in Oxford, England, in 1876, founded by Samuel Timbs. This deep-rooted family tradition crossed the globe in 1910 when Samuel’s son, Cyril, immigrated to New Zealand. By the 1930s, Cyril established a family butchery in Whakatane, where his sons, Vern and Ron, joined the craft, ensuring the Timbs name became synonymous with quality meat in their new home.
