Welcome to the Peter Timbs Meats online store. We deliver our premium, fresh meat products across the South Island and offer convenient click-and-collect options at our Christchurch retail locations in Edgeware and Bishopdale.

Because we dispatch highly perishable goods, we pack all orders the day before dispatch in specialised, temperature-controlled packaging to guarantee maximum freshness, food safety, and premium quality upon arrival.

South Island Delivery Rates & Zones

We use a zone-based courier pricing structure to ensure your meat is transported efficiently.

⚠️ Rural Deliveries: If your delivery address is flagged as a rural zone by NZ Couriers, an additional surcharge may apply. Rural deliveries also take an extra 1–2 business days to arrive. To avoid delays and extra fees, you may opt to collect your parcel directly from your local NZ Couriers depot.

Dispatch & Delivery Schedules

To protect the integrity of your food, we strictly deliver on weekdays and Saturdays depending on your location. We do not ship over statutory holidays or Sundays.

Local Orders

  • You must place your order at least 1 day before your requested pickup or delivery date.
  • Local Christchurch Metro deliveries are Tuesday through Saturday. Parcels are delivered via our private, temperature-controlled Peter Timbs delivery vans.
  • Delivery Window: All home deliveries occur between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.

South Island Orders

  • You must place your order at least 2 days before your requested delivery date.
  • South Island deliveries are Tuesday through Friday via our third-party courier partners.
  • Delivery Window: All home deliveries occur between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Tracking Your Order
  • Local Van Deliveries: Our drivers will call or text the mobile number on the day of delivery to confirm drop-off.
  • Courier Deliveries: Once your order is processed, a tracking link notification will be emailed so you can trace your package.

Click + Collect (Pick Up Orders)

Skip the courier fees entirely by ordering online and collecting your items from one of our butcher shops.
  • Notice Required: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice for standard collection orders.
  • Urgent Same-Day Pick-Ups: If you need your meat today, please call your preferred store directly, and our team will do our absolute best to accommodate your request.
